The Formula
Margin = (Lots × Contract × Price) ÷ Leverage
Example
Trading 1 lot of EUR/USD at 1.0850 with 1:100 leverage:
(1 × 100,000 × 1.0850) ÷ 100 = $1,085
Pro Tip: Always maintain extra margin (at least 200%) to avoid margin calls during volatility.
